Beyond the Music
North Coast Music Festival isn't just about the music – it's an immersive experience that offers so much more. It can be a place to gather with your closest friends or meet entirely new people with open minds. Attendees can indulge in a variety of culinary delights from food trucks and stalls, explore vibrant art installations that add to the festival's atmosphere, and take part in interactive activities that will keep the excitement going between sets. Don’t hesitate to take a lap around the venue to familiarize yourself with your surroundings – it’s no hassle and will help you plan for the rest of the fest!
Not to mention, the NCMF team has done a great job working with the current venue. As it remains at Seatgeek Stadium, no complaints from me when I went in 2022. It didn’t feel overcrowded, it wasn't hard to go to the bathroom at your local port-a-john, and the stages were all unique. For the upcoming 2023 edition, the festival team listened to fan critiques as it relates to sound. They took big leaps towards improving the stage specs as seen on their Instagram. Check out the updated Stadium stage or Vega stage, plus the completely redesigned Shipyard stage.
North Coast also takes place when the heat is no joke here in Chicago and luckily, they have the perfect place to cool off. Introducing the “Chill Dome”, and it’s everything you think it is. Essentially, it’s a giant indoor soccer dome. The team at North Coast saw this dome as an opportunity. There’s air conditioning for you to cool off and enjoy some festival food, there’s a DJ playing live music, and with the festival being 3 days long… if you feel like you need a nap, that’s your place to go. It’s spacious, chill and doesn't let you feel completely removed from being at a music festival.
Conclusion
As North Coast Music Festival 2023 prepares to descend upon Chicago, anticipation is reaching a fever pitch. With a lineup featuring world-renowned acts like Marshmello, Jauz, Flume, Zeds Dead, Liquid Stranger, and Chris Lake, this year's festival promises to be an unforgettable experience for electronic music lovers and festival enthusiasts alike. So, gather your friends, dust off your dancing shoes, and get ready to be swept away by the euphoria of beats, lights, and pure musical magic. This is one event that's not to be missed!
It’s also worth mentioning the social media team with North Coast is incredible. You can find their Twitter page here, where they post updates, changes, and a whole lot more as we inch closer to, arguably, Chicago’s greatest electronic dance music festival.
